Household Nutrition Gardens
What We're Known For

Programs designed to carry on beyond funding.

LEAD is known for developing innovative programs with sustainable impacts that carry on beyond donor funded activities.

For example, the concept of the Household Nutrition Gardens, first introduced by USAID/DAI program in Zimbabwe early in 2000, was promoted by LEAD through USAID funding in 2004 to benefit mission hospitals, orphanages and old peoples' homes. This program benefited institutions through revenues while supporting patients/clients affected by HIV and AIDs, vulnerable communities, and local economic development through improved nutrition.
